There are numerous ways in which you can help those impacted by the devastating severe weather in Western Kentucky. See below for a full list of resources.


Local Donations

WARREN COUNTY - Marissa Butler ([email protected]

The United Way of Southern Kentucky is the dominant local relief fund established for Bowling Green and Warren County. It is the Tornado Crisis and Recovery Fund, and the website is https://uwsk.org/

The City of BG and Warren County governments have created a central website for tornado recovery information at https://www.WeAreBGStrong.com/. The site has lots of information including: 

  • Monetary donations are needed most at this time, but any large in-kind donations can be coordinated by calling the local hotline, 270-393-4116. 
  • Volunteers looking to assist with cleanup can register as individuals or a group at https://plaincompassion.org/
  • A FEMA & Fulfillment Center has been established at the old Sears building in Greenwood Mall.

MAYFIELD & GRAVES COUNTY - Jennifer Walker ([email protected])

Mayfield has launched a website with disaster relief information for Mayfield and Graves County which includes details on how to receive help if you were in an impacted area as well as ways to help those who were impacted by the storms.

HOPKINS COUNTY – Tricia Noel ([email protected])

Ways to donate directly to Tornado Relief in Hopkins County:

  • Hopkins County Tornado Relief Fund – Monetary donations are being accepted at Independence Bank by calling 270-824-1476. This fund will be used to directly meet the needs of those tornado relief victims in Hopkins County. Checks can be mailed to:

MUHLENBERG COUNTY - Beth Newman ([email protected]) 

Muhlenberg County Long Term Disaster Relief Committee, Inc. (MCLTDRC), a local 501(c)3 non-profit that is made up of local community members and chaired by Central City Tourism Director, Dr. Freddie Mayes, are collecting funds to go directly to residents affected by the tornado. See below for ways to make a monetary donation. Note that monetary donations are preferred and requested at this time as their item donation sites are filled.

DAWSON SPRINGS AND EASTERN CALDWELL COUNTY – Mary O’Farrell ([email protected])

Listed below are items that are needed urgently and can be brought to New Direction Printing in Princeton.

  • Donate online here
  • Text REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

Community Foundation of West Kentucky

Based out of Paducah, the Community Foundation of West Kentucky is also accepting donations through its Disaster Relief Fund.
