2024 Certification Breakfast Principles & Practicalities of a Productive Partnership
Speakers:Leslie Ikerd, Executive Director, See Somerset TourismMichelle Allen, Executive Director, Somerset-Pulaski County Tourism
Partnerships lie at the heart of the tourism industry. And not the type that are just lip service, but that really work and produce results - and those types don't come easy. Our two Spring Travel Forum host CVBs have developed that type of partnership with each other and with their local industry and other stakeholders. During their CKTP breakfast presentation, they will discuss the basic principles they employ and the practical day-to-day ingredients of their partnership, including with their industry partners, local officials and other local organizations. As a footnote, the idea for this presentation came about during an STF site visit that included a discussion by Michelle and Leslie with the KTIA management team about how they work together. That discussion was one-part stand up comedy and three-part master seminar on partnerships, and from that discussion the idea for this presentation was born. ABOUT SPRING TRAVEL FORUM This two day event provides our members with opportunities to network with media representatives and colleagues from across the state as well as to receive professional development through presentations from some of the travel industries leading researchers. KTIA's goal is for each member to leave enlightened and rejuvenated, with a better understanding of the travel and tourism industry and how to plan for the future.
