MEET UPS

Meet Ups are regional or local gatherings for KTIA members to come together for discussion, networking and to enjoy each other’s company. KTIA will schedule Meet Ups based on the interest and availability of hosts. Hosts are encouraged to include prospective KTIA members in the Meet Ups.

Planning and Hosting a Meet Up

  • Any KTIA member is eligible to host a Meet Up, but they are especially relevant to an attraction or a collaborative effort that includes an attraction. 
  • The geographic range of attendees is determined jointly by hosts and KTIA. 
  • KTIA will take the lead in promoting a Meet Up, but hosts can promote them as well.
  • KTIA will handle the registration process. Hosts may establish a maximum attendance for a Meet Up.
  • KTIA is very open to ideas and innovations for Meet Ups.  The following is a standard format that can be used as a guide:
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. - Casual Lunch
KTIA will cover the cost of a lunch from a small registration fee or the host is invited to provide the lunch.
     
1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. - Group Discussion
Hosts are encouraged to identify a topic for discussion and to identify one or more discussion leaders for the topic. KTIA is available to assist with topics and discussion leaders.
     
1:45 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. - Group Activity
This can be just about anything the host would like to plan. The first Meet Up held in 2016 involved ziplining. Think fun and experiential!
